Navigating the Synx Growth Portal

We'll dive into what the Synx Growth Portal is, how to use it, and what to expect.

What is the Synx Growth Portal?

The Synx Growth Portal was developed with your experience in mind. We wanted to develop a platform our customers (and prospective customers) could use to gain information related to their programmes with Synx.

A typical program with us, whether it be onboarding or an always-on retainer, will undoubtedly come with a lot of communication and touchpoints. Our end goal in developing the portal was to help eliminate some of those emails and make your time with us as seamless as possible. (Not, that we don't want to talk to you, because we do! We just want to make your experience as enjoyable as can be 😀)

So, in a nutshell, the growth portal is your one-stop shop for project-related tasks, deliverables, assets, and even can be used to communicate with us.

Latest Notifications

Our goal is to have lines of open communication going with you and with the help of the growth portal, we can streamline those communication efforts there. When working with us on a project or retainer, we will input our project notes, items needed, etc. here so you can login to review and chat with us.

Don't worry about always needing to be logged in to see a new note. We'll ensure that when the notes are updated, you're notified by email like the image below.

Keep scrolling past the icons and you will notice your company's goals and metrics that we defined together during our discovery phase. Putting these into the growth portal keeps us both in check and on track with what we're hoping to achieve.

Lastly, you will notice there is a chatbox embedded on the page. Looking to get ahold of your Strategic Account Manager? Simply pop your message into the box.

Contracts

The contracts dashboard is meant to give you insight into what existing and past work you have with Synx. You'll see the name of the contract, the dates, the type--retainer or project--and the cost.

Projects are once-off, fixed-fee pieces of work whereas retainers are ongoing partnerships, paid monthly. They give clients access to a range of marketing, sales and service activities across their customer journey, and provide flexibility for the scope of work.

Projects - Epics

This section of the portal is where you'll get all of the details related to the body of work you have open with Synx. It is divided into two sections--the project - epic overview and what deliverables are related to open projects - epics.

You will also have the ability to show 'Closed Projects' and 'Closed Deliverables' by clicking on the three dots in the top right hand corner of each table.

With projects, you will notice the dates surrounding the project, the amount of points assigned to the project, the risk level, and where it is within our current process. This is a good place to check to see how your project is progressing.

What do points mean?

Points are the units of measurement we use for expressing an estimate of the overall effort required to implement a project. We take into account the complexity, amount of effort required, number of resources needed, potential risks and how much time it will take to complete the task.  This is then broken down further in the actual deliverables related to the project as you will see in the second table.

The deliverables table is set up almost the same except it is broken down to points, due date, the project the deliverable falls under, and wherein our production studio it sits.

As projects and deliverables move throughout our internal processes, you will be sent emails alerting you of such. Any questions or concerns related to these items can be taken up with your Strategic Account Manager through the chat section of the portal.

Business Assets

When we develop pieces of work for your business, we want to ensure you have readily available access to those assets when you need them. That's where the Business Assets dashboard of our portal will come in handy.
