Whistleblower Policy

Synx Group Pty Ltd

Last updated: 10th January 2025

1. Purpose

At Synx, we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity. We foster a culture of openness, honesty, and accountability. This policy enables anyone connected to Synx to safely and confidentially raise concerns about suspected misconduct—including modern slavery, fraud, or unethical behavior—without fear of retaliation.

2. Who Can Report

This policy applies to anyone who works for or with Synx, including:

  • Current and former employees (full-time, part-time, or casual)
  • Contractors and consultants
  • Suppliers and service providers
  • Interns and volunteers
  • Relatives or dependents of the above

3. What You Can Report

You can raise concerns about conduct that you reasonably believe is:

  • Illegal or breaches any laws or regulations
  • Unethical, dishonest, or improper (e.g., bribery, fraud, conflict of interest)
  • Unsafe or harmful to people or the environment
  • Modern slavery or human rights violations (in Synx or our supply chain)
  • Breaches of Synx's Code of Conduct or policies

Personal work-related grievances (such as interpersonal disputes) should be addressed through HR or your manager unless they involve serious misconduct.

4. How to Report

You can report concerns through any of these channels:

  • Direct to CEO or Leadership Team
  • Dedicated Whistleblower Inbox compliance@synx.com.au (monitored by an independent senior leader)
  • Anonymous Form (Optional)

Please provide sufficient detail to enable understanding and investigation of your concern.

5. Confidentiality and Protection

All reports will be handled confidentially and sensitively. When you make a report in good faith:

  • Your identity (if shared) will be protected
  • You will not face retaliation or disadvantage
  • Synx will take all reasonable steps to ensure fair treatment for all parties involved

Any detrimental treatment (such as dismissal, threats, or bullying) against a whistleblower is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action.

6. How We Handle Reports

  1. A senior leader or external party will promptly review the report.
  2. Where appropriate, we will conduct a fair and confidential investigation.
  3. Synx will take corrective or disciplinary action if misconduct is confirmed.
  4. You may be informed of the outcome, subject to legal and confidentiality requirements.

7. Policy Review and Accessibility

This policy is available on the Synx intranet and provided during onboarding. We review it annually or as needed to reflect legal or operational changes.
